Purpose of the group
The purpose of this experiential process group is to provide a space for practicing psychotherapists to continue to develop their personal awareness and their relational skills through direct group experiential learning with particular focus on here-and-now relating. We aim to provide a group environment which offers the opportunity to meet others at relational depth in a here-and-now oriented context.
Facilitators
Both facilitators are experienced practitioners, both trained experientially within a humanistic and integrative framework.
Alan Hackett. MA, BA, DIP, MIAHIP.
Alan is an experienced, accredited psychotherapist working with adults who present with a diverse range of presenting issues. He also specialises in working with adolescents and young people. He has experience of facilitating growth promoting groups which include families affected by addiction and also young people in aftercare recovery.
Barbara O’ Connell. MA, BA, DIP, MIAHIP, ECP.
Barbara is an experienced, accredited psychotherapist who works with a variety of presenting issues with both individuals and couples. She is also an accredited supervisor working with both individuals and groups. Barbara has extensive experience in working with groups of all levels and abilities.
Entry requirements
This group is open to accredited and pre-accredited therapists. Exceptions may be considered depending on individual levels of personal awareness and development.
Maximum group participants: 14
Time commitment: 3 hours, twice a month. September 2021-May 2022
Proposed: Fridays, 10.00-1.00pm
Cost: €1260 -can be paid in two instalments-in September and in
January (€70 per 3-hour session)
