Applications are invited for:

  •  MSc Loss & Bereavement (Counselling): from qualified, accredited psychotherapists and counsellors
  • MSc Loss & Bereavement: from a wide range of professional disciplines whose work or volunteering roles involve the provision or organisation of bereavement care in community, health or other areas.

These programmes attract participants from health, education, private and community sectors in addition to the professional counselling/psychotherapy community. They aim to promote competence, understanding and application of research findings to bereavement care in Ireland. The programmes are rooted in contemporary scientific research about loss and bereavement as well as being designed against a policy and professional regulation backdrop.

This part-time course is over two years and runs from September to June. Year One classes are held once a month on Thursday, Friday & Saturday in the Irish Hospice Foundation.

Participants must possess a Level 8 degree in a relevant area or equivalent demonstrated through a defined Recognition of Prior Learning Process (RPL).

Applicants to the counselling stream must possess counselling/psychotherapy accreditation through a national body.
Closing date for receipt of completed applications is Friday, June 7th. 2019.
