Integrating Evidence-Based CBT Protocols into Your Practice: A Series of One-Day CPD Workshops.
A series of five stand-alone workshops running from October 2018 to February 2019 at venues in Dublin and Navan, with two new titles added to this high-value, and very adaptable, learning experience.
Research has indicated that psychotherapy is moving more and more toward an integrated approach;
“ethical guidelines for counsellors and psychologists appear to be headed in the direction of requiring therapists to know evidence-based research (what techniques actually work with what clients with what problems) if they are to exercise an appropriate standard of care for their clients.” (Jones-Smith, 2014.)
Each one of these five, skills-based, workshops will give you the confidence to enhance your existing counselling/psychotherapy practice. They will show you how to integrate specific evidence-based interventions, in a timely and appropriate way, into your core therapeutic approach. Importantly, each workshop includes a comprehensive take away Resource Pack to support your learning experience.
Why offer these five particular workshops, and why as a series?
We know that depression and anxiety problems are each highly prevalent conditions – and we know that they frequently co-occur. And where a person is affected by more than one of these mood disorders, they tend to experience greater distress and disruption, poorer quality of life, and poorer treatment outcomes. These five workshops will give you the confidence to treat each difficulty separately and, where the client is presenting with more than one, the skill to proceed appropriately.
