Galway Rape Crisis Centre & Mayo Rape Crisis Centre Present
Introduction to EMDR Therapy with Gus Murray
A One-day Workshop 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
This workshop aims to provide participants with an initial introduction to the principles and practices of EMDR Therapy.
Participants will learn:
- How traumatic and other disturbing experiences are encoded in the brain and in the body and how they intrude on current functioning.
- Why “talk therapy” alone is limited in its capacity to access and resolve these memories.
- How EMDR therapy can facilitate the effective processing of traumatic or disturbing life experiences to an adaptive resolution.
