Climate Change and Psychological Therapy
What stories do we tell?
Dear Colleague,
- Are you a psychotherapist, with at least two years’ experience post-accreditation?
- Do you identify yourself as an Irish psychotherapist (i.e. not necessarily an Irish citizen, but for example perhaps you trained and work here)?
My name is Susan Ricketts and I am an experienced psychotherapist of 10 years. As part of my study for a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy by Professional studies with Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University based in London, I am carrying out research on the narratives of Irish psychological therapists, i.e counselling psychologists and psychotherapists on climate change and their work.
I am interested in narratives of climate change and how psychological therapists see it as intersecting with their work and, perhaps, if they see any need for interaction of psychological therapists in the world of climate change outside the consulting room.
If you are interested in participating, you may contact me through my email address below. I can then forward on to you further information and/ or we could chat further about what participation might mean for you.
Many Thanks
Susan Ricketts
