Barbara is client-focused; her aim being to work collaboratively with clients by drawing on her training and background in psycho-dynamic and person-centred approaches. Her warm, emphatic style provides a supportive environment so that clients can explore and uncover blocks that may be affecting their overall happiness and assist them find better ways to deal with the challenges they encounter in their lives. As an integrative therapist, Barbara draws on different theoretical backgrounds to suit each individual client as well as using different practical tools within the sessions.
Barbara holds a B.A. from Dublin City University and is a graduate of the Dublin Business School, with a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and a Post Graduate Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Barbara is also trained in CBT, ASIST & CAMs Suicide Prevention, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
