Karen believes that psychotherapy offers individuals an opportunity within a safe and contained space to initiate a process towards well-being. In time this can lead to the person moving through and beyond the psychological, emotional, and physical impacts that impinge on their day to day living.
In her practice, Karen uses a humanistic and integrative approach which incorporates Gestalt Therapy and Psychodynamic approaches and Body Work; working closely with clients to understand their specific individual needs.
Karen is in private practice as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. Previous roles include working as an individual/group therapist with One in Four and as a group facilitator and tutor with ICPPD Athlone.
Karen has extensive experience in working with individuals, couples and group facilitation.
