Some examples of disenfranchised grief in the clinical situation can be, clients who, experience pregnancy loss; involuntary childlessness; deaths of significant others by suicide; the loss of a partner identifying within the LGBTQI+ community that is not acknowledged by the clients family/culture; the loss associated with ex-partners, step-parents; the losses associated with living with someone being diagnosed with progressive/degenerative/terminal illness; the losses associated with living with children with disabilities.

    WHAT WILL TAKING PART INVOLVE?

A single one-to-one co-inquiry session that will be 90-120minutes to take place in person in a venue near where you live.

    New Hybrid Supervision Group

Looking for a creative supervision experience with a difference? This may be the one for you! I’m very excited to announce my plan to start a year-long small supervision group this Autumn. My desire is to create a small group of supervisees who will grow and flourish together through the seasons and honour place, movement and body as part of the supervision process. This will be my second time running this offering, which proved to be a nourishing experience for all involved in 2023/2024.

This will be a hybrid offering with monthly sessions. Most sessions will be held online and Four (one in each season) sessions will be held in person outdoors in Co. Clare. I envisage this group to be most likely suited to accredited psychotherapists who are interested in reflecting on their practices’ and their clients through an holistic nature based and trauma informed lens. Supervisees, while they may have an interest in Ecotherapy, do not need to be working outdoors with clients to join this group. This group supervision will greatly compliment your one to one supervision, and my wish is that together, we will be part of a truly embodied, safe, creative learning, and reflective space. If interested, or just curious, please contact me at joannepsychotherapy@gmail.com for potential dates, times, costs and more information. I will arrange a call with all potential group members to see if the group would meet your needs.
