GDPR Audits – Professional Support for Therapists and Practices by re:GDPR

As a therapist, you collect and hold sensitive personal data every day. Client records, contact details, clinical notes are all sensitive and highly personal information. Under GDPR, you are legally required to protect this information and demonstrate compliance should you be audited or should someone ask to see your GDPR program.

At re:GDPR, we specialise in GDPR audits tailored for counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists and practices. Our aim is to give you peace of mind by ensuring you meet your legal obligations while educating you on how to maintain a GDPR Programme within your business.

    Our GDPR Audit will:

Assess your current compliance – we review how you collect, store, and manage client data, the data flow in your business and review your policies and procedures.

Identify risks and gaps – highlighting any areas that could leave you exposed to breaches or complaints and making sure your document retention is compliant.

Provide clear, practical steps – recommendations written in simple and easy to understand terms, so you know exactly what to do and what your ongoing next steps need to be.

Ongoing support – with our accountability program you will be contacted quarterly to remain kept up to date with news and changes that affect your business and gdpr program, we also offer a yearly call to go through and make updates if needed.

At reGDPR we aim to “take the fear out of GDPR”, our audit system is designed to do just that and make sure you understand and feel empowered to safeguard the data within your business. With our expertise, you won’t just be ticking boxes, you’ll have a well structured and compliant system that protects both your clients and your professional standing.

Research Invitation Letter for Practicing Psychotherapists

    Ciara O’Byrne
MSc Candidate – MA in Creative Psychotherapy
    Children’s Therapy Centre
    Email: ciara.obyrne@castleknockcollege.ie

Re: Invitation to Participate in Research on Creative Psychotherapy and Grief Support in Schools

    Dear IAHIP member,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Ciara O’Byrne, and I am a final-year student on the MA in Creative Psychotherapy (Humanistic & Integrative Modality) at the Children’s Therapy Centre.

I am currently conducting a qualitative research study exploring the role of creative psychotherapeutic methods in supporting adaptive grief processing among adolescents in Irish secondary schools. The focus of the study is on the experience and effectiveness of these methods when supporting young people who are navigating anticipatory grief, grief and bereavement.

    What the Research Involves

As part of this study, I am seeking to interview practicing psychotherapists who:

    • Are accredited with a relevant professional body (e.g. IAPTP, IAHIP),

    • Have at least 2 years' experience working therapeutically with adolescents,

    • Are currently or were recently involved in school-based or school-linked grief support, and

    • Use creative or expressive approaches in their therapeutic practice. Participation will involve a single semi-structured interview (approximately 45–60 minutes), conducted at a time and format that suits you (in person or online). All data will be anonymised, and full ethical protocols will be followed in line with CTC and GDPR guidance.

Purpose and Impact of the Study

    This research aims to:

    • Highlight the experiences and insights of creative therapists working in school contexts,

    • Explore how adolescents respond to creative grief supports, • Identify benefits and challenges of delivering such interventions in post-primary schools,

    • Inform future school-based grief support models, policies, and practices.

    Interested in Taking Part?

If this area of work resonates with your current or past experience, I would be truly grateful to speak with you. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch via email at ciara.obyrne@castleknockcollege.ie for more information or to arrange an informal call.

Thank you for your time and the important work you do in supporting young people through creative, compassionate therapeutic care.

    Warm regards,

    Ciara O’Byrne

    Touchstones for Authentic Living

Join us for a one-day, in-person retreat at The Sanctuary, an oasis of calm in a beautiful setting in Dublin city on Saturday 22 November from 10am to 5pm.

In a Circle of Trust® (and in life), the Courage & Renewal Touchstones as guiding principles that foster safe and welcoming spaces where individuals feel empowered to be their authentic selves. They encourage generous listening, inviting us to engage with one another deeply and wholeheartedly, with compassion, respect, courage, and love.

In this one-day, in-person retreat, facilitators Patricia Hallahan and Martina Breen invite a deeper exploration of the Circle of Trust® Touchstones:

    1) When the going gets rough, turn to wonder. Turn from reaction and judgment to wonder and compassionate inquiry. Ask yourself, "I wonder why s/he feels / thinks this way?" or "I wonder what my reaction teaches me about myself?" Set aside judgment to listen to others - and to yourself- more deeply.

    2) Attend your own inner teacher. We learn from others, of course. But as we explore poems, stories, questions and silence in a circle of trust, we have a special opportunity to learn from within. So pay close attention to your own reactions and responses, to your most important teacher.

Touchstones for Authentic Living is a unique gathering where we come together to nourish our minds, bodies, and souls. We believe that finding connection and building a supportive community is essential.

Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to engage in activities that promote self-awareness and personal growth. From interactive sessions to 'Clarity Triads' and opportunities for being in nature, we'll explore different ways to find wisdom in our everyday lives.

Whether you're seeking a break from your usual routine or simply looking to connect with like-minded individuals, this event offers a safe and welcoming space for all. Our aim is to create an atmosphere where you can reflect, rejuvenate and forge meaningful connections with others.

So mark your calendars and join us for a day filled with nourishment, connection, and the power of listening to our inner teacher.

'Each Touchstone alone is an admirable idea. You could devote a day to noticing how it shows in your life or work. You could mediatate on each for a week or a month. The magic and mystery ofthis collection of practices come from how they combine to catalyse trust' - Shelly Francis in The Courage Way
