    Information on the Centre:

    Kerry Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre (KRSAC) provides a range of counselling & support services to women, men, and young people (aged 14+) who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives. Primarily funded by Cuan, our services are free of charge and are provided by a team of highly qualified professionals. The services include, face to face counselling, helpline, support groups, garda and court accompaniment, advocacy, crisis intervention & counselling for survivors and their supporters or significant others. We also deliver training & awareness programmes in the community.  We are committed to delivering our survivor centred services with care and professionalism and continue to strive to ensure that we provide the best service possible for all of our clients. We are looking for dynamic and highly motivated individuals to join our team at KRSAC to provide a range of professional counselling and advocacy services to people who have been affected by sexual violence.

    Support Coordinator / Clinical Support (part time)

    Organisation Overview

    Fighting Blindness is a national charity dedicated to advancing research into degenerative sight loss and providing practical and emotional support to those affected. The Insight Counselling Service offers tailored counselling, peer support, and wellbeing initiatives for people living with sight loss.

    Role Overview

    This part-time role requires a person with strong people and organisational skills. The Support Coordinator / Clinical Support will act as the first point of contact for clients, oversee day-to-day operations and assist the Head of Insight Counselling with clinical governance and service delivery. The role involves administrative and coordination responsibilities to ensure high-quality, efficient client care.

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical

    • Act as first point of contact for enquiries, intake, and referrals
    • Support clinical governance and standards
    • Maintain client records, waiting lists, and documentation
    Operational & Administrative
    • Coordinate service operations, including scheduling and client communications
    • Support recruitment and onboarding of counsellors and volunteers
    • Contribute to grant applications and reporting for management and funders
    • Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency and processes
    • Collaborate with the Head of Support Services, CEO and wider team

    Desirable Skills & Experience

    • Accredited therapist (PSI, IAHIP, IACP, or equivalent Or, would suit someone who is working towards accreditation
    • Experience working with people with visual impairment desirable
    • Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills
    •  Knowledge of safeguarding, GDPR, and relevant legislation

    Job Description

    Job Title: Clinical Placement CoOrdinator (CPCO)

    Reports to: ICPPD Academic Director or Designate

    Location: Athlone/Galway/Dublin as agreed with ICPPD

    Job Specific: Responsibilities in addition to tutoring role


    Overall Purpose of Job

    ICPPD supports trainee counsellors/psychotherapists on a physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual and behavioural level - Respect, integrity, inclusivity and professional and ethical behaviour underpin and support this philosophy.

    The Clinical Placement Co-Ordinator is responsible for the overall delivery and administration of the Clinical Placement module. The CPCO provides holistic support to ICPPD trainee counsellors/psychotherapists and maintains regular contact with trainees to offer clarity and encouragement. CPCO’s are also available to offer emergency supervision when required.

    The Clinical Placement Co-Ordinator at ICPPD also facilitates Group In-House Supervision sessions in alignment with IACP requirements.

    CPCOs are required to support ICPPD’s mission statement, ethos and philosophy in their interaction with trainee counsellors/psychotherapists, other college staff and when meeting the public as a representative of ICPPD.

    CPCOs are assigned to a particular area within the College and report to the Academic Director. CPCOs are required to co-operate with the quality management policies and procedures outlined in the ICPPD Quality Manual and operate within the specified ICPPD academic structures.

    CPCO’s are employed on a part time/temporary contract capacity by ICPPD, and are selected based on their qualifications, professional experience and person-related skills.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Delivery of class content and advisory sessions.
    • Provision of feedback to trainee counsellors/psychotherapists, relevant College staff, and appropriate placement organisations’ representatives.
    • Administration of client placement, including the storage of confidential client notes/files (in accordance with the ICPPD’s record management policies).
    • Monitoring trainee counsellors/psychotherapists client work and supervised work.
    • Conduct of site-visits to counselling venues/placement organisations.
    • Collation of all reports: to include monitoring external supervision log, personal therapy log, and provision of feedback on trainees’ development as counsellors/psychotherapists.
    • Manage clinical placement assessments and completion of clinical placement feedback sheets.

Founded in 1989, our organisation has extensive expertise in providing a wide range of specialist, holistic support services. Ruhama also advocates and engages in policy work on issues related to prostitution, sex trafficking and the experiences of the women we work with.

    Trauma Therapists at Ruhama are responsible for providing short-, medium- and long-term trauma therapy/counselling and trauma informed interventions to women impacted by prostitution and human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation.     Clinical Manager (Full-Time)

    Job Specification

    Job Title: Clinical Manager.

    Reports to: The Board of Management.

    Qualifications: Postgraduate third level degree in psychotherapy (with current accreditation) with knowledge and training in Eating Disorders.

    Relevant management experience, inclusive of inter-agency collaboration (either within a statutory or voluntary organisation).

    Location of Post: Cork City.

    Salary: €55,000-€63,000.

    Details of Service: Out- patient eating disorder therapeutic service for adults, adolescents, and families.

    Purpose of Post: To manage, coordinate and develop clinical services pertaining to the centre, including a full therapeutic response to a range of Eating Disorders.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Be responsible for the overall management, effective functioning and development of the centre.
    2. Set, maintain, and monitor professional standards in the delivery of services and supports within the centre.
    3. Ensure and oversee that the delivery of the clinical service is an integrated and multi-disciplinary one.
    4. As directed by the Board of Management take direct responsibility for a defined caseload.
    5. Take direct responsibility for the initial assessment of referrals and full therapeutic response to a range of eating disorders and disordered eating behaviours.
    6. Deliver Family Education Programmes, Therapeutic Groups, and other clinical resources as necessary.
    7. Ensure the implementation of models of best evidence-based practice.
    8. Ensure the safe delivery of the service in accordance with therapeutic codes of ethics, policies, procedures, guidelines and protocols including legislation in the case of disclosure of abuse.
    9. Provide an appropriate level of monitoring for clinical staff consistent with good, safe, supportive ethical practice.
    10. Keep cognisant of the therapists’ clinical workload and status of ongoing work with clients.
    11. As directed by the Board of Management, manage a budget allocation, and comply with agreed management control of same budget.
    12. Oversee peer support and peer supervision meetings.
    13. Provide professional leadership at meetings, committees, and other fora as required.
    14. Avail of regular and adequate clinical supervision to ensure own ongoing competency and professional development.
    15. Compile and submit comprehensive and regular activity reports to the Board of Management.

    Education and Training.

    1. The Clinical manager will maintain standards of practice and levels of professional knowledge by participating in continuous professional development initiatives and attendance at courses as appropriate.
    2. Deliver an in-house training programme to staff.
    3. Build and communicate an understanding of Eating Disorders within the multi- disciplinary service and to the wider community. Health and Safety. Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, guidelines, and safe professional practice and adhere to relevant legislation, regulations, and ensure that staff are made aware of and comply with same.

    Management.

    1. Ensure the service complies with all relevant HR and other policies, procedures, and guidelines. To this end, the Clinical Manager will keep updated an Employee Manual which will outline all said policies.
    2. Report to and advise the Board of Management on staffing needs.
    3. Oversee the implementation of appropriate induction and probationary systems pertaining to staff.
    4. Keep updated on current and impending legislation and the perceived impact on practice.
    5. Keep abreast of developments in any National Policy that pertains to the area of Eating Disorders, and also keep abreast of International best practice.
    6. Provide Service Delivery Reports as required e.g. Annual Reports to stakeholders.

    Eligibility Criteria.

    1. Postgraduate third level training in psychotherapy including a knowledge of and training in eating disorders.
    2. At least 5 years post qualification experience.
    3. Have the requisite knowledge and ability (Including a high standard of suitability and proven management experience) for the proper discharge of the duties of the post.
    4. Have a good knowledge of working with Eating Disorders.

    Health.

    Any person in this post must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties outlined and be in a state of health that will ensure the rendering of a regular and efficient service. The Board of Management may request a certificate of Medical Fitness. References will also be required.

    The appointment is subject to a 6-month probationary period with review. This is a permanent, fulltime post subject to funding.

    Note: Garda Vetting is required of the successful candidate.

    • Demonstrated experience in assessment, risk management and therapeutic intervention.
