Grief is a journey, forward, back and forward
Like a clock that gets to rewind itself
Up, down and around corners
Pain, love and time, our soul’s companions
We cycle our two-wheeler with stabilisers towards lasting love
A final destination, without torch or map, where sat navs don’t work
All the time basking under a magnificent cherry blossom, yet to flower.
The process of grief is not about forgetting or letting go of our loved ones
The process of grief sets free our pain to get us our unencumbered
treasured memories
As from caterpillar to butterfly, in time our nature lets go of what does not
naturally belong to us
A glorious resting place, mirrors back to us
A place of love without pain.
We evolve to celebrate, anchor deep to love known within
Like no other glimpse of treasure loved before
A celebration of a light from a candle whose flame never dims
That parties with the wind and dances with the trees and leaves
Gifting light to love, bathing us in compassion, mothering us in
understandings and wisdom
Turns out first breath and last breath are one – who knew?
True love was always without pain and lasts forever.
