What is Dungeons and Dragons?
Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game where the players form an adventuring party and explore fantasy worlds together, embark on epic quests, and level up.


    PRESENTER - Julia Stamman (she/her)

    Julia Stamman (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Austin, Texas. As the owner of Heart of the Realm, a private practice, she specializes in supporting adults who self-identify as geeks, gamers, and misfits. Since 2020, Julia has facilitated therapy groups using Dungeons and Dragons (D&D), focusing on addressing anxiety and depression. She has shared her expertise on the therapeutic benefits of D&D at conventions like PAX South and SXSW. Julia also leads intensive training programs for mental health professionals interested in running their own D&D Therapy Groups.
