We are writing to let you know some details of our next regional meeting and we start with a change of date.
We have had to alter the date of our next meeting and the new date now is:
Date: Friday 3rd December 2021 at 7.30.
Venue: Zoom
We apologise if this change causes difficulties for any of you.
Recognising the need for some of us to connect, we will be opening the “virtual door” at 7.00pm to allow for chat and to make sure technology is working. The meeting will start promptly then at 7.30.
Our esteemed colleague Gearoid Manning will gather us with the theme, for the evening, of Compassion and Soul. We are excited to hear and experience Gearoid.
A little about Gearoid:
Gearoid spent more than thirty years teaching philosophy, moral theology and spirituality in India and in Ireland. His experience of living in India for eleven years brought him into direct contact with cultural, religious, ethnic, linguistic and culinary difference. It also introduced him to new (ancient) philosophical and spiritual understandings of life.
Gearoid trained in Psychosynthesis Fundamentals in Rome in 1987-88 and continued updating in Psychosynthesis in Eckhart House during the 1990s. He undertook training in counselling and psychotherapy in 1997. After a six month internship, he began working in the Granada Institute in 2005, where he was involved in the assessment and treatment of men who had perpetrated child sexual abuse (contact and non-contact). He worked there until its closure in 2011.
He worked as a tutor and trainer in Turning Point Institute from 2011 – 2018.
He is currently a member of the training staff at Tivoli Institute.
He has maintained a private psychotherapy practice since 2004 and is an accredited supervisor
