The primary aims of the IAHIP Complaints Procedure are
- To protect the standards of the practice of psychotherapy within the Association;
- To provide a structure for examining any complaint against a member or associate in order to determine whether a breach of the Code of Ethics and Practice for Psychotherapists (Bye-Law 3) or of any other of the Codes of Ethics and Practice of the Association has occurred;
- To resolve, where possible, all such complaints concerning members or associates.
‘The Complaints Policy and Procedure is currently being updated. Processing of complaints may be delayed as a result.’
