About me
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Counselling and Psychotherapy in Cork in 2008. I work as a psychotherapist with adults only (18+) at the National Counselling Service in the Midlands while also maintaining my private practice. I specialise in trauma-informed therapy, focusing on PTSD/CPTSD, anxiety, loss, workplace stress, crisis pregnancy, postpartum issues, as well as relationship and mental health challenges. I have a particular interest in trauma recovery related to narcissistic abuse, primarily when it stems from childhood.
In my practice, I utilise a blend of therapies and techniques to build emotional regulation, establish healthy boundaries, promote self-care, and foster self-empowerment. My goal is to create a safe space for you where you can be "yourself, build trust, and improve your life at your own pace". This process involves building a trusting relationship, increasing awareness and developing essential life skills that aid in your healing and growth. I am here to support your journey and help mend the parts that "feel broken". Together, we can achieve more than if you were to try to navigate this path alone.
In addition to my work with clients, I provide valuable support to therapists in training. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Trauma Studies and serve as a member of the IAHIP Ethics Committee.
