Originally from Zambia, Muuka Gwaba is an accredited Psychotherapist with IAHIP and graduated with a Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Dublin Counselling and Therapy Centre (DCTC). She holds a Post Graduate diploma in Psychoanalytic Studies from the Dublin Business School and an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Northampton through DCTC.
Muuka has worked in private practice since with adults and couples presenting with a wide range of difficulties, helping them to gain the understanding and tools they need to have successful and lasting relationships. She uses an integrative approach to therapy, focusing on the client’s individual needs. She has worked in One in Four in their internship programme, supporting men and women who have experienced sexual abuse and violence, many of them during childhood. She has also been a listening volunteer with the Dublin Samaritans, supporting suicide prevention. She is currently a therapist in Spectrum Mental Health.
