About me
I am a Counselling Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Supervisor living and practicing in Cork. I have over twenty five years' professional experience, most of which has been in private practice as a counselling psychologist, psychotherapist and supervisor. As a supervisor, I supervise other therapists, counsellors and social workers as well as medical practitioners. I receive referrals from GP's, psychiatrists, Tusla and various organisations through EAPs. I have specialised experience in bereavement and trauma work having trained and worked part time for Barnardos for over six years. I have a particular interest in working with adolescents and developed and delivered a substance misuse and personal development module to transition year students for seventeen years which I enjoyed immensely. I am a constant advocate for improved critical thinking, sex education and communication with this age group. I also work with parents of this age group around parenting skills and sex education including social media use and consent issues. For now I am concentrating on and very much enjoying a busy full time private practice. I am open to all consultation and research opportunities and am more than happy to connect with like minded professionals.
