About me
I have worked for almost 40 years in the healthcare sector, first as a nurse and midwife, before training as a psychologist/psychotherapist. I graduated with a BSc in psychology in 2004 with the Open University, followed by an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy in 2009 with the University of Limerick. I trained as a Clinical Supervisor in 2016, with Dublin Counselling and Training Centre (DCTC).
I have worked in private practice since 2009 and developed my teaching career in Further Education at Ballyfermot College. I have also taught psychotherapy trainees up to degree level. I am passionate about supporting supervises and clients to reach their potential. I have a special interest in pre- and peri-natal psychology and psychotherapy including IVF. I am currently completing a professional doctorate in psychotherapy, where my thesis has a peri-natal focus. I also joined IAHIP’s accrediting body in 2022 and the governing body in 2023.
