The Body within the Therapeutic Relationship
    October 2025 to February 2025

This well-established course has been running for over 20 years and is the result of careful design, development, and refinement over time. The course will introduce you to a lens and a concrete set of tools which will enable you to understand and work with the body in the therapeutic process with clients. It is grounded in an integration of the theory of Wilhelm Reich and Alexander Lowen, who were forerunners in the development of body awareness in the therapeutic process. The course will help you to integrate the body lens into your current practice from a humanistic perspective.

We are excited to bring back Rhythm2Recovery training this year again to Ireland! Training is based on a model for engaging young people and adults with rhythmic music and reflective discussions to further social and emotional development and assist with managing adversity. No musical experience is necessary to deliver this work.
The training is packed with exercises, resources and themes to get better connected with those you work with. The training is practical, hands-on and great fun.

This model is used across a wide range of therapeutic settings and in individual, family and group therapy. Developed for counsellors who were struggling to engage individuals using traditional ‘talk based’ approaches, this model has proved a useful addition to the therapist’s toolbox and is backed by a significant evidence base. https://rhythm2recovery.com/evidence

It is fun, practical, and engaging and allows people to explore a wide range of life-skill and relationships issues in a safe context. It also draws on the latest neuro-science on how rhythmic music can reduce anxiety & assist with emotional regulation.

This program has been used successfully by counsellors and clinicians to work with people from many backgrounds, and for those who struggle with language. It has also been highly effective with young people and adults who find traditional talk-based approaches confronting.

Here is a link to a recent journal article explaining its use in family therapy and with people recovering from trauma https://rhythm2recovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Faulkner-2017-Australian_and_New_Zealand_Journal_of_Family_Therapy.pdf
