This training programme covers topics including: A Theoretical Framework for Adolescent Development; Self-Symbolism & Creativity: Gaining Access To The Adolescent’s Phenomenological Experience. Clinical Application will focus on: Depression, Self-Harm, Suicide; Adolescent Anxiety; Separation & Blended Family Systems; Education & The Experience of Shame; Working With Traumatised Adolescents; Adolescent Sexuality & Sexual Identity; The Adolescent’s Relationship To The Body & Food; ADHD & Asperger’s Syndrome In Adolescent Process.
About The Facilitator: Bronagh Starrs MIAHIP maintains a private practice in Omagh, Northern Ireland, as a psychotherapist, writer, trainer and clinical supervisor, specialising in working with children, adolescents and their families. She teaches and presents throughout Ireland and internationally on the developmental implication of trauma on the adolescent journey. She has authored various articles and chapters on the subject and has contributed to the collected volume: Relational Child, Relational Brain (Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group/Gestalt Press). Bronagh is Course Director of an Advanced Post-Qualifying Diploma in Humanistic & Integrative Adolescent Psychotherapy.
