Organisational Consultancy Training

Introduction to the Programme
Individuals who are trained and skilled in Psychology, Education, Human Resources, Management, Coaching, Psychotherapy and Health Care are sometimes invited to extend their role to working with teams and organizations. This often poses a challenge to these individuals, as they attempt to extend their knowledge and skills to work with larger groups and more complex organizational systems. This one-year Certificate Programme provides an opportunity for participants to develop and enhance their skills and knowledge in working with groups and teams and provides a framework for participants within which they can explore ways of working in the area of organizational consultancy.

Who Can Apply for the Programme?
The programme is open to Organisational Consultants, Organisational Psychologists, Managers, Coaches, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Educators and Health Care Professionals, In addition, the programme will be pertinent to Human Resource Professionals, Training & Development Professionals, Educators, Social Workers, and Allied Professionals who wish to develop and enhance their group facilitation and organisation development skills.

Style of the Programme
This one-year Certificate Programme is highly experiential. Learning will be transferred through group process work, group facilitation, reflective practice, real live organizational consultancy projects/case studies, group exercises, and group supervision. In addition, participants will also be provided with an opportunity to review and discuss up-to-date information and research in the area of group facilitation and organization development.

• Working below the Surface – The Application of Psychodynamic Thinking
• Different Levels – Working with an Individual, Consulting to a Group/Team and Consulting to a whole Organisation.
• A Systemic Approach to Working with Organisations
• Emotional Containment / Holding Environments at Work
• Enhancing the Consultant’s Presence and Self-Awareness
• The Use of Self in Organisational Consultancy
• Organisational Culture / Leadership in Organisations
• Working on Real Live Projects / Group Supervision

Programme Dates and Times.

Module 1:        Saturday & Sunday, 21st and 22nd September 2019.
Module 2:        Saturday & Sunday, 12th and 13th October 2019.
Module 3:        Saturday & Sunday, 9th and 10th November 2019.
Module 4:        Saturday & Sunday, 7th and 8th December 2019.
Module 5:        Saturday & Sunday, 11th and 12th January 2020.
Module 6:        Saturday & Sunday, 8th and 9th February 2020.
Module 7:        Saturday & Sunday, 7th and 8th March 2020.
Module 8:        Saturday & Sunday, 4th and 5th April 2020.

Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sundays: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Director and Lead Facilitator – Evelyn P. Gilmore
Evelyn is a Consultant Work & Organisational Psychologist, a Psychotherapist, a Business and Executive Coach, a Coach Trainer and Coach Supervisor. She has an Honours Degree in Psychology from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and a First Class Honours Masters in Work and Organisational Psychology from Dublin City University. Evelyn has a Diploma in Psychotherapy from Tracht Psychotherapy Centre and is currently doing a Professional Doctorate in Organisational Consultancy with the Tavistock in London. Evelyn has worked at a senior level with world-class organizations, and her current clients include individuals, groups, and organizations from both the public, private and voluntary sector. In addition, she has lectured on Organisational Change in the Dept of Management in NUIG. Other Facilitators will be involved in the Programme.

Programme Venue and Cost
The Programme will be held in the Marine Hotel, Sutton Cross, Dublin. The total cost of the Programme is €2,800
