    YogaSOMATICS: Movement Expressions

Breathe new life energy into the body with this 8-week somatic journey of YogaSOMATICS and movement.

The journey will involve exploring the yoga shapes or “asanas” through a spherical lens. There will be some dance-like movements taken from Vinyasa Flow blended with sensory and somatic awareness. Embodying the nurturing Yin energy of stillness, quietude and receptivity and harnessing the opposing Yang qualities of movement and flow to find holistic wellness for mind, body and spirit.

YogaSOMATICS is a contemporary perspective of yoga that is immediate, fluid and experiential. It bridges traditional yoga, modern somatics, meditative techniques and inquiry towards conciousness. YogaSOMATICS encourages sensing and deep listening to make inner contact with oneself and the energetic body.

The practice was founded by Ateeka whose work has been inspired by Continuum Movement founder, the late Emily Conrad, Gestalt psychotherapist Ruella Frank, Danish spiritual teachers, JesBertelsen and MadhurimaRigtrup and is currently a student of Helen Gamborg, author of the “Invisible Aspects of Healing”, inspired by Bob Moor’s teachings about the subtle body, energy medicine and healing.

YogaSOMATICS offers spaces of containment and exploration through aware movements, breathing, relaxation, mindfulness, meditation and contact bodywork. It is a return to connect to one’s own bio energy, through slow and subtle movement in a first-person relational experience. It may appeal to those who are new to yoga or as a self-care body practice.

Previous participants have described the practice as “transcendent”, “an exploratory space” and “expansive”.

    From Shame to Honour

    An experiential personal development workshop

Shame resides in the core of our being and because of its hidden nature often gets overlooked within therapeutic processes. It is at the heart of most trauma, addiction and behavioural dysfunctions and requires deeper therapeutic examination in order to uncover and heal it.

Venue: De La Salle Retreat Centre, Elderfield, Castletown, Co. Laois, R32 N6D8

    Paul Rebillot Experiential Residential Workshop

This workshop is based on the idea – promoted by Carl Jung, James Hillman and Joseph Campbell among many others – that myths have deep psychological significance, that – as Hillman put it – “myths show (us) our depth psychology in ancient dress”.

A myth or legend that attracts us, haunts us and draws us in does so because our unconscious recognises that there is something within that particular story that we need to learn.

Bring your favorite myth, legend or supernatural folk tale to this workshop and use a variety of creative approaches including dramatisation, movement, ritual, meditation and Gestalt Process to discover the deep meaning that it holds for you.

No previous experience of drama or Gestalt Process is required.

    When: 22nd - 28th June, 2024.
Where: Slí an Chroí, Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow, Ireland.
Led by: The Fool’s Dance Gestalt Company - Paul Rebillot School in Ireland.

‘If you wish to rise, begin by descending…’

    St Augustine

Befriending Humility and Revelationoffers an opportunity to deepen our alignment with these two complementary energies.

In recent group work, participants have been very touched by the dynamism between our capacity for humility and our openness to revelation. Both of these energies richly support our ongoing ripening in adulthood. To preview themes and see Teachable:

    The Group Process

Through a blend of personal reflection, group work and smaller exercises, we deepen our presence to our own processes of living, and are nurtured and stretched by the wisdom and experience of one another and by the group process.

I am committed to creating small, textured group fields which support each participantin their unique unfoldment and expression. This work is designed to enable each participant to become, in Gendlin’s words ‘more of ourselves than we have been able to be so far…

Each week has two elements: rich kernels of theoretical content five days ahead of the live session - in clear modules on Teachable - and a live session, where Emma will present the theme and blend group work with more intimate inquiry exercises.

    About Emma

Emma works as a psychotherapist and group facilitator. In her courses, she draws on psychodynamic theory, a background in Literature and Philosophy, and many years immersion in and facilitation of emergent we-space practice.

"Emma's ability to communicate complex concepts and themes in simple language is a gift"

    Maria, Cork

    THE HIGH ART OF HELPING

    CONSTELLATION WORK WITH HORSES

Experiential Workshop Assisted by Horse Presence and Wisdom

Sunday May 12h 2024 Castlefergus Quinn Co Clare Ireland

    Fee: Euro 200.00

Helpfulness is a beautiful human quality, and helping in a professional way is a special Art. People often feel drawn to work with others and to help them in a special way. This pull can come from a deep love and loyalty that stems from within our own family system, our own herd.

To help in a healthy way, it is important to be able to understand what it is that has drawn us into our chosen profession and to be curious about what it is our hearts are longing for.

The ground-breaking work of Bert Hellinger, coming from his training in psychoanalysis to his systemic family therapy allows us to see ourselves through a lens which brings to light our connections, loyalties and bonds, conscious and unconscious, across the generations.

The methodology of 'the constellation' uses human representatives to represent family members, issues or internal parts of ourselves. We use this lens and we include the presence and wisdom of the horses as they represent the family field.

Clearing our own 'field' allows us to work with clarity around our role as ”helpers” This serves as a protection for the people we work with and avoids burnout for ourselves In order to give in a healthy way, we must first be able to receive in a healthy way. Then we may no longer project our unconscious entanglements, our early unmet needs on to our co-workers and clients.

When we can experience being separate and connected, then we ourselves, and those we work with, become freer to move and heal in a healthy way. Helping at this level is 'a high art'.

These innovative workshops are offered to people who work with others. We use a team approach. The facilitating team consists of an equine specialist, mental health professionals and most importantly 'the horses'. All activities take place on the ground and you need no previous experience with horses to participate.

The structure of the day is based on Bert Hellinger's work on 'The high art of helping' and the three basic systemic principles of relationship: Belonging, Reciprocity and Order: things being in their right place.

In these, one day workshops we prepare to enter 'another's' field, (the others we work with). Participants are invited to come into a deeper awareness of themselves within their family field, their family herd. You are invited to come with an open heart and a respectful willingness to explore how the need to belong has shaped you. These workshops often facilitate a very deep inner movement whereby things come to the surface and into awareness in a healing and gentle way.

When we work in the presence of horses, observing their behaviour and at the same time being aware of what happens inside us as we allow ourselves to become attuned to them, we find that they can teach us to be present to our true selves, mindfully in alignment, separate and connected.

Horses are such authentic representatives and they offer us clarity in an extraordinary way when we are present and open to their wisdom. As we enter the energetic field of the horse we can deepen our capacity for a transformational process in a truly profound way.
