Role: Remote Lead Therapist

Location: Remote to manage a virtual team
Salary: €43,000
Hours: 35 hours per week (Evening and weekend work will be required)
Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Annual Leave: 26 days per annum


Role and Responsibilities:
This role is to support and mentor a group of virtual Therapists and oversee therapy and clinical issues that may arise. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager this role ensures quality in service delivery and consistency in approach.

This role will include, but not be limited to the following:

- Promote and maintain the ethos of Pieta which is rooted in compassion and care

- Monitor and support therapists in the delivery of safe, high quality therapeutic interventions

- Ensuring best practice in clinical governance, up to date accreditation and insurance

- Ensuring all therapists attend individual and group supervision

- Oversee client assessments and risk assessments, ensuring best practice, and supporting access to the service in line with our service model and ensure that risk management strategies are implemented and reviewed as needed

- People management including Therapists and Centre Administrators

- Probation and performance management and individual management support meetings

- Oversee staff training, inductions, rostering and record completion

- Oversee file management in-line with GDPR, data protection and confidentiality

- Act as a Pieta Clinical Representative in the local community as required and agreed by Regional Manager

- Consult and collaborate with Regional Manager

- Escalate areas of concern to Regional Manager

- Implement all policies and procedures and monitor and ensure compliance by all staff

- Work closely with operations department to ensure Health & Safety compliance in centres/with staff

- Liaise with Regional Support Coordinator and Regional Manager for appropriate allocation of clients and waiting lists

- Maintain an agreed clinical caseload

- Work within an agreed budget
 

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

- Be fully accredited with IACP, IAHIP, PSI, NAPCP or equivalent

- A minimum of two years supervisory or management experience

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficient in using Microsoft Office

- Experience of working with a broad cross section of staff and professionals, across agencies/communities

- Be interested in and demonstrate a belief and enthusiasm for the work of Pieta

- Experience with databases an advantage (e.g. Salesforce CRM)

YogaSOMATICS was founded by Ateeka whose work has been inspired by Continuum Movement founder, the late Emily Conrad, Gestalt psychotherapist Ruella Frank, Danish spiritual teachers, Jes Bertelsen and Madhurima Rigtrup and is currently a student of Helen Gamborg, author of the “Invisible Aspects of Healing”, inspired by Bob Moor’s teachings about the subtle body, energy medicine and healing.

YogaSOMATICS is a contemporary blend of ancient yoga and modern somatics. It is an experiential bodywork practice using sensing and deep listening to make inner contact with oneself and the energetic body. The practice offers spaces of containment and exploration through aware movements, breathing, relaxation, mindfulness, meditation and contact bodywork. It is a return to connect to one’s own bio energy, through slow and subtle movement in a first-person relational experience. 

It is a non-competitive, non-linear practice which has been designed to align with one’s own natural rhythm, honouring each individual to make contact with your own embodied wisdom; and may appeal to those who are new to yoga. It is an excellent practice for self-healing, energy protection and self-care.

Deirdre Madden who is a qualified psychotherapist has been training with Ateeka for the past year and is now offering YogaSOMATICS classes as part of her training. Deirdre is a qualified yoga teacher in Vinyasa Flow, Yin and Yoga Nidra and has been a practitioner of yoga for over 15 years. 

Deirdre is looking for 3-5 participants initially. The course will take place via Zoom on Tuesdays from 6-7pm. If there is sufficient interest, there may be a morning option available on Thursdays from 11.30-12.30am. Programme will commence on Tuesday 29th June.

Dublin Rape Crisis Centre

FOUR PART-TIME PSYCHOTHERAPISTS / COUNSELLORS

Three Days per Week
Either
Monday to Wednesday (2 Positions)
or
Thursday to Saturday (2 Positions)

Established in 1979, the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre offers a wide range of services to people who are affected by rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment and/or childhood sexual abuse. 

We are inviting applications for Psychotherapists/Counsellors to work on a part-time basis for three days per week. The successful candidates will have a professional counselling/psychotherapy qualification and must be fully accredited at the time of application with IAHIP or other modalities of ICP, or with IACP.

The successful candidates will work as part of either the Monday or Thursday team, providing a crisis counselling and psychotherapy service to clients of all genders who have experienced recent or past rape, sexual assault and/or childhood sexual abuse.

Some of this work will be in DRCC outreach services in Tallaght, Coolock, Balbriggan or Dóchas Women’s Prison as required.

NB Previous clinical experience of these issues is required.
