[CPD Opportunity] Limited Places Remaining - Level 1 Training ‘Working with The Body in Therapy’ Jan-April 2024

LifeChange Psychotherapy returns with its Level 1 Course of Integrative Bodywork Training for therapists interested in developing and specialising in bodywork, bioenergetics and body process awareness and tracking for their client-work.

Level 1 Training Course, January-April 2024

  • Experiential and practice-based training with practical skills and tools, incl. core theory and framing. Max 12 participants
  • Focus on bioenergetics, bodywork and breathwork (Reichian Breathwork, Lowen Bioenergetics)
  • Character structure / dynamics based (Reich, Lowen, Johnson, Kessler)
  • Includes integration with other humanistic, integrative frameworks such as Relational Gestalt, Person-Centred Therapy and Trauma-based work (Ogden, Rothschild, Van Der Kolk)
  • Therapeutic interventions and techniques for deeper integrative work with clients

Training Course Dates 2024:

Sat/Sun 27-28 January; Sat/Sun 24-25 February; Sat/Sun 23-24 March; Sat/Sun 20-21 April Time: 10am-5pm | Cost: €1060 | Location: Oscailt, 8 Pembroke Road, D4. | CPD Points: 48

Therapists who have completed an Introductory Training Module in Bodywork or any similar training are encouraged to apply. If you have completed an Introductory Module at LifeChange, the cost is €960 (including a booking deposit of €250 – instalments can be arranged)

About the Facilitator:

Brian Gillen is an experienced Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor, specialising for over ten years in Bodywork and Body-based Psychotherapy as a practitioner and trainer. He is a Core Trainer and Lecturer on the MA Psychotherapy Programme at Dublin Business School. He is also Director and Founder of LifeChange Psychotherapy & Counselling and Body Psychotherapy Ireland. He holds a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and has trained with the IPP and abroad in various Bodywork, Biodynamic and Bioenergetic approaches to therapy. He is a long-standing member of IAHIP, ICP and inaugural Chair of CORU’s Counselling & Psychotherapy Registration Board.
