offers a rare experience to engage with a theme that touches us all deeply: how we may live in more authentic, healthy dialogue with our longings and desires. Facilitator and psychotherapist Emma Philbin Bowman created this course to support a precious process – the re-kindling of a capacity that for many of us was compromised in early life: the ability to know what we want, and to live as if it matters.

This course aims to deepen and enrich our engagement with the deep value of wanting as a natural and healthy source of energy and creativity. We explore wanting as a capacity that can be developed and deployed with increasing skill, flexibility, genuineness and intimacy. (This is not a course about entitlement or success – more a recovery training for those of us who feel muted, vague, or hesitant to honour our needs, longings and desires).

The course is carefully structured to support participants’ process. Each week has two elements: the week’s content organised in clear, easily digestible kernels, pre-recorded on Teachable. (This allows you to listen in your own time and rhythm. Each week now also includes thematic guided meditations for those who prefer to immerse in the themes more spaciously). The second element is our live session, where we explore that weeks’ theme and blend group work with exercises in smaller break-out rooms. Maximum participants 14.

Now in its third iteration, we continue to improve this course in response to participant feedback.

“I found it an excellent course and it far exceeded my expectations in terms of its richness, content delivery and engagement with other participants. It has opened up new forms of discovery for me. I found the flow worked from week to week, and the themes were natural in their progression.”
Wayne Dignam, Participant

“The live sessions are what made the big difference in terms of breathing life and vibrancy into the themes. It is completely different the level and aliveness with which themes can be explored when with others. I loved the group element and the noticing of similar and different themes and the way they all seemed to add to the richness of the theme – the “we” element was very powerful.”
Ciara O’Neill, Participant
