Clinical Group Supervision for Individual and Group Therapists

Belinda Moller, Group Analyst – belindamoller@mac.com 087 239 3792

How does group supervision work?

Group supervision is an alternative to the one-to-one supervisor experience.  In a collegial, confidential and safe setting you will access a wide range of experiences, trainings and perspectives through which you can explore and grow in your practice.  The method is to use the group as the medium of the supervision.  Group members bring material from their therapeutic work, and together, generate ideas and hypotheses, share free floating associations, follow the reverie and encourage different ways of working and thinking.  The group creates a condensation of thoughts and associations for thinking about what is happening in the transference relationships in the work, and the parallel processes in the group.

Who is this group for?

  • Psychotherapists and clinicians from any discipline working
    • in private practice,
    • in an organization, e.g. providing counselling/therapy in a voluntary, organization, a not for profit service, a university, a public sector body etc.,
    • in a variety of ways and settings.

The practical details:

  • The supervision group meets every second Wednesday at 10am and works together until 11.30am.
  • The current calendar of meetings until Summer 2021 is; 10th March, 24th March, 14th April* (*3-week gap for Easter Break), 28th April, 12th May, 26th May, 9th June & 23rd June. There will be a four week break in the Summer, 2021 – to be decided and agreed together.
  • Cost: €65 per session, payable two sessions in advance.
  • Currently the group meets When we do meet in person, it will be at The Group Analytic Practice, 29 Lower Abbey Street, Dublin 1.
