Tightrope

The clearing’s edge is etched 
Where the light falls,
Beyond the lines of language
And the heart squalls.
An urge impels me on
To look out for you,
A tightrope-feel surrounds
Letting go for you.
In darkness and rejection
Loman’s well-liked man respected,
Arms outstretched and sightless eyes
I stumble, step and torture towards the edges.
