Are you working with complex trauma clients & struggling to understand how to include somatic interventions effectively in order to help your client build regulation & resilience?  Would you like to understand more about the bridge between Neuroscience, Somatic Psychology, Biosynthesis Somatic Psychotherapy and the process of transformation in the physical, emotional and somatic body?

In this workshop you will be introduced to Biosynthesis Somatic Psychotherapy and why Somatic Psychology is essential for helping clients work through the dysregulated affect which accompanies developmental trauma. ‘Talk therapy’ can have limited effectiveness for clients with somatized symptoms, dissociative defences and excruciating feeling of shame. Learn how Biosynthesis Somatic Psychotherapy works beyond the pathology, from the resources to the fragmentation to help develop a deep process of co-regulation between therapist and client. We will explore Biosynthesis interventions that enhance embodiment and wellbeing in the client. These interventions which, enhance embodiment in trauma treatment expand therapeutic experience beyond the ‘neurosis’ and beyond where words can take a client.

Biosynthesis Somatic Psychotherapy has been scientifically recognised by the European Association for Psychotherapy since 1998

Facilitator:

Maria Del Mar M.A. Clinical Psychology, ECP, Supervisor & International Senior Trainer in Biosynthesis

Maria is a Health Specialist by the OPP (Portuguese Psychologists Charta), Clinical Psychologist, Biosynthesis Therapist, Senior International Trainer for Biosynthesis, Supervisor, and Director for the CPSB (Centro de Psicoterapia Somática em Biossintese) for Spain and Portugal, Family Therapist, Naturopath and specialized in Psychosomatics and Epigenetics. Maria has been in private practice in Lisbon as a Clinical Psychologist & Biosynthesis Psychotherapist since 2000. She is a consultant for Biosynthesis Trainings in Israel, Czech Republic, Chile, and Brazil.
