The Art of Wanting 2021 –

Re-kindling our capacity to live with passion and desire

an Online Course with Emma Philbin Bowman

January 11 – March 13 2021

“Wonderful: Touching, poignant, powerful, sad, meaningful,

poetic, creative, connecting, nourishing…”

CD, Psychotherapist, Participant, The Art of Wanting

This course offers a rare experience to engage with a theme that touches all of us deeply: how we may live in more authentic, healthy dialogue with our longings and desires. The Art of Wanting aims to support our capacity to live with vitality, passion and desire – but to do so with sensitivity, in a way that is authentic to who we are, and honours our natural rhythms…”

Facilitator and psychotherapist Emma Philbin Bowman has created this course (take a look here) to re-kindle or bring alive a capacity that for many of us was compromised in early life: the ability to know what we want, and to live as if it matters. The Art of Wanting offers a comprehensive, spacious, carefully-paced exploration of themes like Wanting, Desire, Intention, Longing, Savouring, Receiving and Surrender.

Practicalities:

There is a 10% discount for bookings prior to December 1 – use code OCEAN

The course is carefully structured to support your journey. Each week has two elements: the week’s content organised in clear, easily digestible kernels. (Each segment is short, and you can listen to in your own time and rhythm). The second element is our live session, where Emma will explore that weeks’ theme with the group and blend group work with exercises in smaller break-out rooms. Maximum participants 14.

Live sessions will be on Monday evenings Irishtime (6-7.30pm), from January 11 to March 13, 2021.

An optional drop-in integration session will be offered most Saturday mornings (9-10am) throughout the course.*

“Your facilitation is excellent and fine-tuned

and creates a beautiful atmosphere…”

KT, Psychotherapist, Participant, The Art of Wanting

This course aims to deepen and enrich our engagement with the deep value of wanting. We explore wanting as a capacity that can be developed and deployed with increasing skill, flexibility, genuineness and intimacy. This is not a course about entitlement or success – more a recovery training for those of us who feel muted, vague, or hesitant in relationship to our needs, passions, visions, and desires.

Emma has also created a free kernel offering on Teachable: Available here, and open to all, To Receive & To Savour, may be of interest to you or your clients.
