People often feel drawn to work with others and to help them. This pull can come from a deep love and loyalty that stems from within our own family system, our own herd. To work cleanly with others it is important to be able to differentiate ‘what belongs to whom’. What it is that has drawn us personally into our chosen profession and what it is our hearts are longing for. We are interconnected beings who often become entangled in the webs we weave and webs we inherit.
Looking through a systemic lens with the help of the horses leads us to working cleanly, with clarity and with more awareness and compassion. This serves as a protection for our clients and ourselves when we no longer project what is out of our awareness, on to our co-workers and clients. When we can experience being separate and connected, then we ourselves, and those we work with, become freer to move and heal in a healthy way.
Helping at this level is ‘a high art’.
These innovative workshops are offered to people who work with others. They are based on the Eagala Model of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Bert Hellinger’s three systemic principles of relationship: Belonging, Reciprocity and Things being in their right place.
The arena becomes a container of sorts, a place where parallels to the client’s real life world can be found and the participants make meaning of their own experience. The Eagala model uses a team approach. The facilitating team consists of one or sometimes two equine specialists, a mental health professional and most importantly ‘the horses’. All activities take place on the ground. Participants need no previous experience with horses.
In this one day workshop we prepare to enter another field, the field of the “other”, the other (people) we work with. Participants are invited to come into a deeper awareness of themselves within their family field, their own family herd. You are invited to come with an open heart and a deeply respectful willingness to explore how the need to belong has shaped you. These workshops often facilitate a very deep inner movement whereby things come to the surface and into awareness in a very healing and gentle way.
When we work in the presence of horses, observing their behavior and at the same time being aware of what happens inside us as we allow ourselves to become attuned to them, We find that they can teach us to be present to our true selves, mindfully in alignment, separate and connected. They are exquisite representatives and they mirror for us in an extraordinary way when we are open to their wisdom. When we enter the energetic field of the horse we can deepen our capacity for a transformational process in a truly profound way.

Scars of Attachment, Souvenirs of love
Facilitator : Colette Green
Object Relations Theory says that our primary need is for relationship.
Bert Hellinger’s work continues to unfold healing movements in relationship at all levels. Life goes back to whence it came and love tries to find its way. This phenomenological method includes everything that ‘is’ with love. The Workshop will explore experientially the idea that our Scars of Attachment are recognizable as Souvenirs of love. We are profoundly affected by our need to belong and our sense of separateness.
In the constellation work we understand how we reach out in our yearning to be met and how our contact with others got interrupted. We see ways in which people do belong in family systems often connected by loyalties and conscience through intergenerational entanglements, systemic identifications and object relationships. We use Inclusive compassion as the lens for enlarging the family picture, to see and feel the hidden dynamics that underlie the family system and a new image may emerge.
In Hellinger Sciencia work a soul image emerges beyond the limits of the personality attuned to the creative guiding force of life. Bert Hellinger calls this The Spirit Mind or Tao.
The whole group is involved in constellation work, whether as client or representative in the service of a client’s family or as part of the essential holding group within which the work unfolds.
Personal issues can be touched in a profound way seeing how love has been blocked and how it can flow, where hearts have had to close and how still we have remembered and remained loyal. This work has a delicate simplicity which impacts and ripples deeply, it can move our Souls when there is a place for ‘everything’ and ‘all’ are re-membered with love.
