The Anxiety Specialist: Training for Psychotherapists

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Saturday, August 17th, 2019        9:30 am – 4:30 pm

Anxiety is part of life and part of being alive! Anxiety helps keep us safe. Anxiety is our friend. Where our anxiety is ‘out of sync’, however, it can greatly interfere with our day-to-day functioning and quality of life.

In our modern, fast-paced, digital world, it seems that anxiety problems are reaching epidemic proportions. Left untreated, mild anxiety issues can often grow into more serious mental health conditions – including Depression and Generalised Anxiety Disorder.

Learn to be part of the solution! Enhance your psychotherapy skills with a brief – yet powerful – CBT treatment protocols for each of these specific anxiety disorders;

  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder
  • Panic Disorder
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
  • Social Anxiety Disorder
  • Health Anxiety Disorder

And for those enthusiasts who have already completed these modules, we are now adding a Skills Masterclass – one day to bring together the individual protocols.

This skills workshop is an opportunity to ‘compare and contrast’ elements of each anxiety disorder and common treatment techniques. It will also be an opportunity to consider a ‘transdiagnostic’ approach to treating anxiety.

Facilitator:

Rosario Nolan is a CBT Practitioner and Supervisor and is a fully accredited member of both the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).   To learn more, visit our website https://www.rosarionolan.com/events.html
