Are you a trainee counsellor or psychotherapist?
If so, you may be eligible to participate in a research study.
My name is Laura Cunningham and I am a 4th year student of Turning Point Training Institute currently undertaking a MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy awarded by UCC. I am conducting a research study as part of my course requirements entitled:
Does the evaluative function of trainee supervision influence supervisee disclosure?: A qualitative study of trainee counsellor/psychotherapists
The purpose of this study is to explore how evaluation within supervision may affect a trainee counsellor/psychotherapist’s willingness to be fully open with their supervisor about relevant clinical or personal material. You are eligible to participate if you are: a) currently enrolled in a counselling/psychotherapy training course in Ireland b) undertaking a clinical placement and c) in regular clinical supervision.
Participants who have not attended at minimum 5 supervision sessions will be excluded from the study. Participation involves a face-to-face interview with the researcher.
If you wish to take part or would like more information on the study, you can contact me on the following: firstname.lastname@example.org
