You are invited to participate in a study entitled “Exploring the Experiences of Ethnic Minority Psychotherapists Practicing in Ireland (i.e. non-Irish practicing psychotherapists)”, as part of my Masters’ research in the Psychotherapy programme at Dublin City University.
Ethnic minority therapists in the context of this study are those who do not identify as Irish. Research suggests that the ethnicity of the therapist can impact both positively and negatively on the therapeutic relationship, process, and outcomes. As more ethnic minority therapists are working in Ireland this is an important area to understand and the findings can inform training, practice and service delivery.
The study will involve male and female qualified therapists who do not identify as Irish, are accredited and currently practicing in Ireland. You will be invited to take part in an interview lasting approximately one hour at your office or at Dublin City University. Your participation in this study will be completely voluntary. If you have any questions or need further information, you can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your time and consideration.
