I am writing to invite your participation in my upcoming research study entitled
When personal bereavement meets therapeutic practice – A study of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist’s experience of a significant bereavement while in private practice.
I am a 5th year student on the MSc in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy in Turning Point Training Institute (TPTI) and University College Cork (UCC) which requires the completion of a research study relating to psychotherapy.
The purpose of the study is to explore Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist’s experience of a significant personal bereavement while in private practice. The study also aims to explore psychotherapists’ experience of their own grief process and how this relates to their therapeutic practice. The research will involve accredited members of IAHIP with five years or more experience in private practice. If you are an accredited Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist who has experienced a significant personal bereavement, between two and ten years ago, while in private practice, you are eligible to take part in the study. If you would like to take part, you will be invited to attend an interview that will take approximately one hour, at a mutually agreed time and place. Your participation is voluntary.
I am seeking Psychotherapists in Donegal and surrounding counties, including Northern Ireland and the greater Dublin area.
If you wish to take part or would like more information on the study, you can contact me on the following firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your time and consideration.
