A workshop with Peter Philippson, author of ‘Self in Relation’ & the ‘Emergent Self’ exploring the theory and application of the concept of self in Gestalt therapy. Dr. Andrew Reeves – ‘Working with Risk’
Andrew Reeves is Chair of BACP and an associate professor in the Counselling Professions & Mental Health Department at the University of Chester (UK). He has worked for many years as a registered social worker, counsellor/psychotherapist, and supervisor in both statutory and private settings. He is the author of many books, book chapters, and articles including BACP’s ‘Good Practice Guidance’ on working with suicidal ideation in the counselling room. His latest book ‘ An Introduction to Counselling and Psychotherapy: from theory to practice’ has just been published by Sage.
This workshop will be of particular interest to:
- supervisors exploring issues of risk in their supervisee’s work
- practicing counsellors/psychotherapists
- those involved with teaching students about issues of risk in therapy
