Crosscare Teen Counselling (CTC) was established in 1973 and provides a ‘generalist’ family based service model – Positive Systemic Practice – developed to address the challenges that arise in the transition from childhood to early adulthood in the family’s and teenager’s lives. CTC’s objective is to support the normal systems that support teenagers (i.e. home, family, school, and community). CTC works mainly in teams of two therapists but is flexible and responsive to the needs of individual cases.
The service accepts referrals from many sources including Social Work, GP’s, Youth Workers, Parents, and Schools. The service currently operates from 6 centres in Drumcondra, Tallaght, Clondalkin, Arran Quay, Finglas and Dun Laoghaire.
