Certificate and Diploma in Supervision for Health Care Professionals
A professional part-time training Certificate in Supervision held over seven weekends (total 100 hours) and leading to a Diploma. The Diploma can be completed concurrently with the Certificate or within one year of completion of the final unit of the Certificate. In order to be awarded the Diploma, participants will be asked to complete the following requirements:
- 25 sessions (minimum 1 hour) of supervisory contact with supervisee/s, 6 hours (minimum) of supervised supervision.
- A written record reflecting on their learning from the above. A minimum 2000 words (plus or minus 10%) to be provided.
- A satisfactory supervisor’s report

Professor Maria Gilbert, MA (Clin. Psych.), BA (Hons) (English)
Professor Gilbert is a Registered Clinical Psychologist (HPC) and UKCP registered Integrative Psychotherapist and is currently the Head of the Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology Department and Supervision Course, at Metanoia Institute in West London.
Professor Gilbert is an experienced trainer, supervisor and psychotherapist in the field of integration and she co-authored, with Ken Evans, two books on integrative psychotherapy and on supervision. She has also co-authored a workbook on supervision with Michael Carroll.
A number of other facilitators and tutors will also be involved in this training.
