IAHIP Mid West Regional Group is delighted to host a talk by Prof Billy O’Connor, Head of Teaching and Research in Physiology at the Graduate Entry Medical School (GEMS), University of Limerick.
For IAHIP members interested in learning more about the brain and the potential application of brain research findings to the practice of therapy, this is a special opportunity to hear a leading researcher and educator in the field of neuroscience. Prof O’Connor will describe the basics of brain physiology and functioning and talk about the mechanisms of neuroplasticity as well as topics such as addiction and creativity from the perspective of neuroscience discoveries. He is an engaging speaker with the ability to make complex information accessible to everyone and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion after the talk.
