Integrating some core concepts of Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy into your clinical practice.
This 10 day course is designed for mental health professionals and will offer a comprehensive introduction to cognitive behavioural theory and practice. Through lectures, reading and experiential exercises participants will get the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the CBT therapeutic model and consider how it might apply in their existing practice. This course will provide a sound basis for further study in this area. It does not qualify participants as CBT practitioners.

Dr Iseult Twamley is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with the Health Service Executive – South. She works in the area of Adult Mental Health where she specialises in providing psychological assessment, consultation and multi-modal psychotherapeutic intervention in complex cases. As an Integrative Psychotherapist she draws upon Cognitive Behavioural, Psychodynamic and Systemic traditions, with an emphasis on the development of the therapeutic relationship and facilitating the Recovery journey. Isuelt is module co-ordinator for the Humanistic and the Personality and Developmental Psychology Modules within the IICPS MSc course. As well as being an experienced certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Iseult is also experienced in Schema Focus Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Behavioural Family Therapy.
