The Psychology Society of Ireland and the Division of Counselling Psychology are excited to present the first opportunity in Ireland for practitioners to participate in certified Level 1 training in Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT).
ABFT is the only manualized, empirically informed family therapy model specifically designed to target family and individual processes associated with adolescent suicide and depression, and is listed on the Promising Practices Network as a “Proven” treatment.
The training is given by Gary M. Diamond (Ben-Gurion University, Israel), a co-developer of ABFT and co-author of ‘Attachment-Based Family Therapy for Depressed Adolescents’.
The full 3-day workshop is limited to 30 participants. Experience working therapeutically with adolescents and their families is required. The first day of the workshop provides an introduction to ABFT and is open to anyone interested in the therapy.
